Drawing inspiration from my Korean heritage, I take immense pleasure in exploring the traditional art of Korean Buncheong slip work, incorporating free hand-carved letters, and utilizing glazes blended with my very own recipe.

Each piece undergoes a meticulous five-step process (besides of glazing and firing process that takes almost one week), starting with hand-throwing on the wheel, followed by precise bottom trimming, intricate slip-work, personalized engraving of names and dates inside the rim, and finally, the meticulous carving of two swimming Koi inside the bowl.

All of my glazes are made in my studio with materials that are lead-free and food-safe and finished the piece by firing twice at a high temperature.
