Her journey began in South Korea, where she was born and raised. Driven by a deep passion for ceramics, she pursued her educational dreams, earning both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Ceramic Art in Seoul, Korea. In the early stages of her career, she fully immersed herself in ceramic art in her homeland, working as a full-time ceramic artist. During this period, she created captivating abstract ceramic sculptures, showcased her work in numerous exhibitions, and shared her expertise by teaching in her studio and at a college.
Seeking new horizons and artistic inspiration, she made a life-altering decision to move to the United Kingdom. There, she furthered her studies and earned a second Master's degree in Ceramic Art from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. This international experience broadened her artistic perspective and exposed her to a diverse range of influences.
As her life took her to various places in Canada and the United States due to family circumstances, she adapted her craft to focus on creating functional ceramics. Now residing in Lawrenceville, near Atlanta, Georgia, she has found a place where she fully embraces her passion for ceramics and a balanced life.
