These elegant and simplistic bowls are wheel-thrown pieces with a mindful aesthetics of Wabi-sabi living. Wabi-sabi represents simplicity, stillness, calm and minimalistic styles in nature and reborn in our decent, appreciative ways of modern life.

The beauty of the aesthetics of Wabi-sabi started in the Chosun dynasty during the 14th Century in Korea, as tea bowls (called "MacSabal") and was later introduced to Japan and developed into Wabi-sabi in the Japanese tea ceremony.

I am enjoying making this rustic, wobbly, imperfection form and uniqueness of each bowl as well as having my favorite strawberry ice cream in the bowl.

The combination of the rustic olive green and brown color gives organic/earthy texture and reflects light softly and gives a warm and calm atmosphere.

Each bowl has a slightly different shape, size, and brush swirl design that makes them unique and one of a kind.
